Take one look at this plant and you can see why it has the common name “zebra.” The glistening leaves are striped dark and light green.
Zebra plant needs patience and intentional care. Bright, indirect light will suit it best. Use distilled water or rain water for watering. Keep the well-drained potting medium moist, but not wet. This is a calathea, which shouldn’t dry out completely. Keep the humidity high by putting it on a pebble tray and/or grow it in a bathroom or kitchen window where the humidity is already higher. If you decide to repot this plant, do so in the early spring. With the right care, a zebra plant could grow up to two feet tall.
