This plant gets its common name from the strong, bright lemon scent its branches exude, a welcome aroma in the cold of winter or anytime really.
Lemon cypress needs good attention when it comes to light and watering. Put this plant by a window that provides good sunlight and rotate the container regularly to give each side a turn. Ideally, this plant would get six to eight hours of direct sun a day. Water well whenever the soil is dry. It’s time to repot this plant into a large pot once it gets root bound; check for the roots poking out of the drainage hole at the bottom of the container.
