Dracaena marginata colorama

Regular price $18.99

This plant can tolerate low-light levels but would rather medium or bright light if you can give it that. Keep it evenly moist during the growing season and drier during the darker, cooler months. Whatever you do, don’t over water it because the canes will rot and that would just be sad.

Also a little something quirky about this plant: it’s sensitive to an excess of fluoride (found in tap water) and will present with brown or yellow markings on its leaves. If you do not have a filtration system, leaving the tap water in an open container overnight before watering can help remove some of the fluorides. This plant is suited to typical indoor humidity but wouldn’t mind spritz of water ever now and again. Only repot this plant when the roots are overly congested. This would look like very little growth for several months. When that happens, it’s time to move to a bigger pot.
